Our latest and greatest project....

When we bought our town house we knew we had a lot of projects ahead of us, and we still have more to come. At times it hasn't been so much fun and a lot of work, but for the most part we have really enjoyed fixing up our house just how we like it and all the hard work pays off. We were so blessed to find something affordable that we can call our own, so I can stay home and take care of our little cutie pie! I also should add that Abby and I really love and appreciate Aaron so much, he is such a hard worker and amazing provider for our family!! It has been a little over a year since we bought our first home together and we have learned a lot! Aaron is become more of a handy man, and we are learning to budget and manage our money! Anyways, to my post now (ya know how it is when you get typing you can get off the subject very easy!) For our last project we painted our back patio. Aaron chose the color, and I will admit I was a bit hesitant at first.....but it looks great!

Here are a few shots of our project:

Our little patio furniture set! (now is the best time to buy them because they are all on clearance!)

Lots of birthday fun!

I'm only a day late but this is a post wishing a very Happy Birthday to Abby, Aaron, and my wonderful mom!
Below is some pictures of the fun festivities!! (sorry Aaron, but I just had to do a slideshow!)

It was such a fun, busy day. It is hard to celebrate 3 people's birthday and not let Abby steal the spotlight! My mom was great, and while I made Abby's bunny cake she made Aaron and herself this yummy angel food ice cream cake. We all went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner which, like always, was amazing! And don't let the pictures fool you, Abby was spoiled for her birthday but Aaron was too.......he would just love it if you ask him what he got for his birthday..........for those of you who won't ask him, well he got a gun that he has wanted forever! It is a 9mm, so watch out everyone!

Brayden and Abby

At the wedding I got some cute pictures of Abby and Brayden being kissin' cousins!! They are always loving each other, someday these photos will totally embarrass them!!

Oh Brayden buddy! That is a very open mouthed kiss!! Abby isn't quite sure how to kiss like that!

I love this one of Brayden, I'm sure he is thinking, "this kissing stuff is getting old and disgusting, besides girls have cooties!"

Of course they saved kisses for Grandma!!

Saturday get away....

This past weekend we went down to Utah for Aaron's cousin's (Lyndsey) wedding. Overall it was a fun Saturday where we got to see a lot of people in a little amount of time. First we stopped in Tremonton at the way cool Tremonton fair to see Grandma Moore who was there watching Aunt Jill do the dutch oven contest. I've never been to the Tremonton fair, but I've heard it is a kick in the pants. It made me miss the good ole' Cassia county fair, gotta love small towns!! After that we stopped in Kayseville and drove by Aaron's old house (see below) They lived there when Aaron was about 6 or so, he even showed me his girlfriend's house, Ms. Mandy Jones!! And she was a high maintenance hottie according to Aaron.....at the age of 6! Then our last stop before the wedding was at Brad and Becky's, Abby just HAD to see Bryson and Haylee, and whenever you are at Becky's she'll always have something good to eat! We came away with homemade cookies and suckers!! YUMMY! Then it was off to the wedding for Lyndsey and Levi. It was very hot, but a good time. It was fun to visit and meet some family I've never met! Although, me being the dork I am I forgot their wedding gift!! After we sweated to death we decided to venture back home, but first we had to stop at Target!! (thanks Becky for letting me know about all the great clearance stuff!!) Then we stopped in Tremonton once again to visit with Grandma and Grandpa at their house and let Abby get the wiggles out so she would sleep the rest of the way home. It was a great trip and whether you wanted a play by play you got one!! Here are a few pictures of the great fun!
The old Kayseville house.....

Abby messing up the flower decorations on the chairs!

Going over to greet the lovely bride and groom (and uncle Craig)

I totally missed Abby giving Lyndsey a hug, so this is all I got. Doesn't she look beautiful??

Playing on her chairs......her colors where green (like you can see here) and pink, very cute!

Here is Abby in an Escalade and she is thinking she is so cool riding without a carseat!! They had to shuttle us down from a church to the yard where the wedding was. We were lucky to ride in a pretty sweet vehicle! Don't worry it was a very short drive, and he was a very good driver!

This is how I roll....

In my last post I said that Abby was taking a nap so I was playing catch up in blogging....well as soon as I posted that she woke up. So now she is in bed so here I am again.......

Below are a few pictures of Abby, and how she likes to ride in style.
(just some more cute photos I found on my camera....)

Always has to have her sunglasses (my old broken ones) whether they are upside down or not, purse, and baby Claire........
The higher I tip my head up the easier it is to balance these sunglasses when they are upside down!Oh yeah! And her cell phone, all she is missing now is the car keys and the credit card!! What a girl!!!

Stickers are a great reward!!

When Abby goes poop or potty on the toilet she gets a sticker, and this is usually what she does with it:

I just thought these were cute pictures!!

(NOTE: Abby decided to stop taking naps the past 2 weeks! Yes I know, that is very frightening for a mom!! But today - on her birthday - she decided to take a nap for me. Thus the reason why I'm finding time to catch up my blog!!)

Playing with little Aaron

Here I am still trying to play catch up with blogging...... I saw these pictures on my camera and thought I better post them to my blog!
Two weeks ago my cousin Kim and her family, who lives down in Arizona, who I also haven't seen in a very long time was up in Idaho visiting family. Lucky for us they stopped in Pocatello at my Grandparents house to visit for awhile. It was fun to meet her husband Ken and their little boy Aaron for the first time! When we were driving over to see them I told Abby that she was going to meet and play with her 2nd cousin whose name is Aaron, that was a bit confusing for her and she kept saying "play with daddy" over and over. Pretty funny.
Below are a few pictures of the 2 cuties having a great time together! It was fun to visit and catch up! We can't wait to go visit them when we go down to Arizona for Thanksgiving to be with Tyler and Amy and the family!

Reading books.....

Being funny with Grandpa Great....

Enjoying some cookies together!

Twin Falls Temple

Once again...this is a late post. Last week we went to Twin Falls to the temple open house. We had so much fun, and the temple is so beautiful. Growing up we went to Twin a lot, and it is so crazy to go there and see a temple! Having another temple in Idaho makes me feel even more blessed! I love being surrounded by temples!

Aaron and I played a little game to see who could see the temple first from he car....obviously we could spot it from the freeway and Aaron won but he cheated! Here is a picture from the car, we are almost there....little blurry from the car window.
When we first got there and was going into the stake center Aaron saw one of his buddies from his mission, who just so happened to be President Monson's grandson (just thought I'd throw that in!). Then another mission buddy came over so it was great for everyone to catch up...a little mission reunion!
For me it was lots of fun because my Grandma and Grandpa Garner have been called to work in the temple once it is up and running, in the mean time they were put in charge of the foot booties (booty duty) for the open house. So we got to hang out with them all night, and get a little extra special treatment, which is always fun!

We didn't really get a good family photo in front of the temple, but we appreciate Grandma snapping a bunch of us. (Although she had a hard time taking a straight picture.......Grandma, if you read this I love you!!!)

Cheesing for Grandma Great!

So beautiful!! I love temples at night!

Tautphaus Zoo

The Pocatello Zoo is pretty lame, meaning that I can see cows, deer, and buffalo anytime and it doesn't even cost me any money. I guess they do have some bears, which Tautphaus Zoo in Idaho Falls doesn't have........anyways last weekend we decided to go to Idaho Fall and take Abby to the zoo up there. It is a great zoo and we had a such a good time! The only downer about it was when asking Abby what animals she wanted to see at the zoo she would say zebra, unfortunately the zebra exhibit was closed and being worked on that day, but it didn't really bother her to much. Below are a few pictures!

The pelican was the very first animal we saw, which was quite fitting for the Moore family because we have a great little rhyme about pelicans that Aaron brought back from the great people of Australia:

What a wonderful bird is a pelican.
Its beak can hold more than its belly can.
You open your eyes with great wonder and surprise
And wonder how the helican?
(all you slow ones out there, hell-it-can)
(that is not a swear word in Australia, and I hope no one is offended!!)

Abby is jumping up and down from all the excitement! Just to much for her to handle!

What cute girls!

She loved climbing the fence!

They have a children's zoo part...........way cute! Aaron said he has never seen anything SO cute hatch in all of his life! haha

I posted this picture because if I were an animal living at the zoo, I would want to be the black swan that just chills in the water! Just looks so relaxing and enjoyable.

Aaron really liked the Tautphaus Zoo because they had an Australian part.....here is the map and of course they are pointing at Melbourne. There were wallabies, emus, and a fake koala......good stuff!

Getting a drink from the lion!

Lovin' the tigers.....actually the real tigers were asleep. The lady was telling us that they sleep 20 hours a day! And eat 10 pounds a day, and I thought it was cool because the 2 tigers they had were brothers!

Checking out the camels!!

It was a great day! The earlier you get to the zoo the more active the animals are!!

My Mini Me!

I'm still trying to playing catch up with blogging...this post is about a week old

I finished the famous book Breaking Dawn like a week ago, and of course Abby took notice of me and how much I had been reading it. One afternoon I put the book down and and Abby quickly ran over and grabbed and pretended like she was reading it. I swear she was just watching and waiting for me to put it down so she could have it. It was funny because she gathered her babies so she could read it to them as well........ I just love it when she wants to be just like mom!! Although this book is a little advanced for her small brain......she'll have to stick with Sesame Street, Cuddles the Cow, Teddy Bear Teddy Bear, Nighty Night, and the other cute picture books she loves so much!

Getting the babies ready for some story time.

Here she is thinking, "Finally, mom put this book down for 2 seconds so it is my turn to see what it is all about....it better be real good because I'm sick of her neglecting me!!!!"

Here she is thinking, "Oh my heck Bella, what were you thinking!!"

Now just a few thoughts on the book.............it was very good but in the end I am a little disappointed and I must admit I started to get bored towards the end. But I definitely recommend it as a MUST NEED read series to anyone!

I do know that my family is glad that the whole vampire saga is over with! Although, I have failed to mention to Aaron that I plan on reading the whole series again sometime soon.......!!

Fun in a box.....

Lucky for Abby, Aaron and I found us a nice little patio furniture set on clearance at Lowe's resulting in Abby getting to play in the box it came in!

Peeking through the window.........
Making it home!

You know........big boxes are a great form of entertainment for children, but I don't necessarily agree that it is a CHEAP form of entertainment. To get a nice big box for your kids to play in you have to buy something.....and it usually isn't that cheap!! So my advice would be to watch the dumpsters for people that don't have kids and just throw their boxes away!

Funny Photos

Just some funny photos for y'all to enjoy and hopefully make ya smile...................

This is Abby eating breakfast on a Saturday morning. Aaron was out working on the patio and was wearing a hat, so Abby insisted that she wear her hat as well. You will also notice the candle sitting close by, well she is obsessed with candles these days and loves to smell them. This particular morning she wanted her very own candle that I bought for her to join her for breakfast. (in case your wondering what I'm feeding Abby for breakfast.........it is strawberry banana Trix yogurt......it looks a little questionable on camera!)
Just monkeying around with dad! Also this is the best way to check out what is going on in her mouth! She is cutting her 2nd molars right now!!

Here is another breakfast story for ya.........Aaron and I are always reading the newspaper at the table. I especially do it while I'm eating my breakfast. I was in cleaning the kitchen (I swear I'm always cleaning something....) and I heard Abby situating the newspaper just right so she could read it while eating her fruity cheerios!! I was so proud!! Aaron and I are such watching the news and reading the newspapers freaks! It is very important to keep up on current events and what is going on in the community and world around us!!
