Poinsettia Bowl Blues....

This is a delayed, quick, short post...........I thought I'd better be FAIR because I'm all about EQUALITY so I must humble myself right this minute and report that BSU lost in the Poinsettia Bowl. It hurt pretty bad because they lost by one measly point, and in the 2nd half they missed a field goal...now my husband is not the only WIDE LEFT in our family! (sorry if you don't understand that.....long story) Those missed field goals always come back to haunt you!!! TCU - Texas Christian University - was a very good football team, and Boise State is a young football team so we'll be back next year! Even though they lost that night we had a lot of fun partying with our..... I mean my fellow Boise State fanatic friends the Hodges!!! So.....this college football season ended a bit disappointing for Aaron and myself.....better luck next year for the both of us. We just can't wait till 2012...that is when BSU and BYU play each other 4 years in a row. That is when REAL bragging rights will be established! BRING IT BABY!

Las Vegas Bowl Blues.....

Aaron was a lucky dude and took off last weekend for Las Vegas to watch BYU play Arizona in the Las Vegas bowl. Although BYU got beat (hahaha) they had a great time. Here are a few pictures:

The whole gang from L to R Tyler (older brother), Aaron (middle man), Jim (the father who has brainwashed these poor boys to like BYU), and Matt (oldest brother)
Tyler - where is your BYU giddup???

The band forming the "Y" which stands for Young. (...being a smart alec...)

Pretty sweet picture.

I don't know if you watched the game, but it was pretty disappointing if you were a BYU fan. Arizona was just more motivated and happy to be there. BYU better get more disciplined and stop beating themselves before next season rolls around.
Despite the outcome, Aaron and his dad and brothers had a great time. I told Aaron if I had sisters that is something my mom and sisters would go and do......hopefully my sisters would like sports as much as I do........I'm sure they would. And just for the record I do like BYU and I like to see them do well.....but the real game is happening tonight folks!! The Boise State game! I'm very nervous, but excited. Tune In! 6:00pm on ESPN!

Our Christmas Angel

This post is of Abby letting us snap a few shots in her Christmas dress................. (she is pretty bad when it comes to taking photos, so we told her that she was taking them for her cousin Brayden -she loves Brayden and would do just about anything for him-, let me just say my little plan worked and she cooperated quite well!)

Our Little Christmas Angel:
Showing off her bow that my lovely and talented mom whipped up for her just to match her Christmas dress!

Gotta love our Charlie Brown Christmas tree! We do!! One day we'll move up in the world!
Merry Christmas All!!! Can you believe it, only 7 more days!! Hope ya'll got your shopping done!

Glenn Beck in Poky

This is Aaron blogging here........Amy only thought it was fitting that I blogged about my man crush (for all you Beck fans out there you know what I'm going through) on Glenn Beck. Glenn came to Pocatello on Tuesday night for his book signing at Desert Book. We got to the mall at five and I thought we would be in good shape considering Glenn wouldn't be signing till six well was I wrong cause the line was already around the corner of the jewelry store. Once he started to sign the line moved very quickly and we had are books signed within thirty minutes.
Brother Dave Pollard and myself waiting patiently for Glenn to sign our books.

My photographer was supposed to get a picture of me getting my book signed by Glenn, but she (we wont call out the photographer will we AMY) got a little snap happy until it was my turn and then she didn't get me shaking his hand. I still love my wife and this won't cause a divorce but it was close. j/k In this picture you can see Dave, Joseph (Dave's son) and barley me. For the few seconds we had to get his signature Glenn was very nice and asked how we enjoyed his show in Salt Lake.

Here is a picture of Glenn macking on the older ladies! Can I just say if you haven't read his book "The Christmas Sweater" I would highly recommend it because it is great book with a great message for everyone.

Since I never blog can I just let everyone that reads this how much I love and appreciate Amy. She is such a wonderful mom, wife and friend. She does such a wonderful job holding our home together and making sure Abby is taken care of. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and remember Christ is the reason for the season.

Weekend Happenings

Since we have been back from Arizona our life definitely has not slowed down at all!! Here is what we've been up to the past 2 weekends................

We wen to Rupert a couple weeks ago to witness my brother blessing their new little girl. That is now four girls and one boy on the Allen side as far as grandchildren go. Poor Bryson is all alone!

Below is a picture of Grandma and Grandpa Great Garner TRYING to get a picture with their great grandchildren.

Here is star of the show Reagan!

Abby trying make everything all better for Haylee.

We haven't had the 3 girls all together for awhile, so we made our best attempt of trying to get a picture of them. They cooperated better when us mommy's stepped in. I can't believe how fast they grew up!!

The following weekend we made our way back to Utah and went to see the Temple Square lights. Like always it was amazing! And of course we made a little stop at Crown Burger.....Aaron's obsession!

Abby and Bryson making sure they are nice and warm on temple square.

A very weird, blurry family photo.....we were also there with Brad and Becky and family, and my parents. Thankfully, Becky let us crash at her house that night. Abby always has SO much fun at Bryson's and Haylee Bear's house!!! Thanks guys!

Abby having WAY to much fun seeing the lights.

That same night after the lights we sent Abby back with my family, and Aaron and I headed to the E-Center for the Glenn Beck Christmas Sweaters concert. Of course, it was great and ya'll need to read his book! Very uplifting! And just for the record....not a big Rush Limbaugh fan!

Glenn in action!
And of course you know that he is at the mall tonight signing his book! We'll be there........
I'm excited for this coming weekend so I can actually relax and attend our ward!!
GOOD TIMES!

Thanksgiving 2008 - Road Trip!

So....I'm a freakin' slacker when it comes to blogging, and that is just how it is!

This year was such a memorable Thanksgiving!! We drove, yes drove, down to Phoenix where Aaron's brother lives, and had a great time! We were thrilled to get away and enjoy some nice weather! It was a little hard for Abby to adjust when we got back, she would just walk out the door without a coat forgetting how cold it is. (we also are adjusting to Abby thinking she has to watch a movie everytime she is in the car!!) Us girls also escaped one evening and watched Twilight!! It was also fun to stop in St. George to see some of my family on our way to Phoenix as well as on our way home! It was nice to break up the trip a little. We had an excellent trip where we saw lots of family, which I'm most thankful for!!!!!

Thanksgiving in Arizona:

Aaron being the great uncle he is with the kids! I love this picture!

Mesa and Abby having bath time. Can you tell they are related?? Abby absolutely adores Mesa, and sometimes thinks she is her mother!

Family photo at the Bass Pro Shop......it was a very cool store. Just ask the guys, they went there 3 days in a row!

Abby and Brayden....

This is at the Phoenix Zoo.....it was an awesome zoo and thanks to our lovely tour guide Amy (Tyler's Amy) we saw everything!! And we didn't even let the rain slow us down!!

Missing Grandma here!! She was the lovely photographer.

Abby was thrilled to ride the dolphin at the zoo!

This grandma has the cutest grandkids ever! (Mesa was sleeping...)

Here we are on Thanksgiving. The kids are happy to have their food. Notice we are eating outside! How cool is that!!!

Waiting for the Turkey!!

More waiting......

We had such a great time! Once again we want to thank Tyler and Amy for letting us all invade their house! You guys are great!
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and are enjoying the holidays!

A hip, happenin', HALLOWEEN....

I thought I better post about Halloween before Thanksgiving gets here.........we had a great Halloween, and I do apologize for all the pictures!

Abby was the cutest cowgirl ever! YeeHaw!

Aaron was an Aussie...Abby wanted him to ride the horse...can I have another YEEHAW!

Our cowgirl....."these boots are made for walkin' and that's just what they'll do....one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you!"

Gotta love the Aussie style....long socks with boots

Way to work the camera Aaron! I mean Aussie man!

I was my Uncle Jeff for Halloween....those of you that don't know him.....well to bad...! (The sign and outfit explains it pretty well!)
As I'm posting this....I'm watching President Obama give his acceptance speech....crazy!
Me, the crazy BSU fan. Aaron was suppose to go as a BYU fan, but changed his mind....I don't blame him.........they've been pretty crappy lately! haha

The cowgirl posing with the bronco!

The cool Ninja turtle (aka tanner) who took Abby on the trick or treating parade at the ward party! What a nice ninja!

Later on the cutest scarecrow (aka Brayden) I've ever seen came and visited Abby.

To cute!

What a great Halloween it was! I'm still enjoying the candy!!
