Jazz Game!

March 15, 2012
What a great day this was. We all headed to SLC for the Jazz game. This would be Abby and Stockton's first Jazz game. We were all suppose to go to one 3 weeks or so ago, but we had some weather and sickness issues...... But we got very lucky and were able to go to this game instead! The kids were so excited, especially Abby!

On the upper level of Energy Solutions Arena (The Delta Center) there was a play area for kids, we let them play for a couple minutes. It was way nice, and great advertising for someone!

This is Abby in front of the "pregame set" ..... Abby loves to watch pregame at home, so when i snapped this picture she was very excited!

Taking pictures pretty close to courtside. See that lady in the background in the maroon jacket, well she is like an usher or whatever you call it and she was calling us with her hand there to have Abby and Stockton to come down on the court for pictures!
So Abby went......

Then we all went!
Abby asked me why she couldn't go and find Gordy and Big Al so she could talk to them!

Abby snapped a photo of Grandma and Grandpa Allen

This photo is from our seats, lower bowl row 16!

These blow up neck pillows was the free giveaway for the night. It entertained Stockton for a bit during the game!

So the Jazz played the Minnesota Timberwolves and it was a sweet game! They won in overtime! My parents were over sitting in their seats, but for overtime they came over and sat in front of us because a few people had left. So here we are all standing up and getting ready for overtime! It was a crazy, exciting game.

A kid sitting by Abby caught a Jazz ball then gave it to her! She was excited that she asked me if she could sleep with it that night!
I know I mentioned in a previous post that Abby had a slight fear of mascots. Well, when were down courtside taking pictures, a guy that works on the "Bear Crew" which is the Jazz mascot came up to Abby and asked her if she would like to come out at a halftime and dress up in a little bear costume and do a skit with the Bear! The guy said that he noticed her "personality!" We thought it was very ironic that she would get asked to do something with The Bear! Of all things. Needless to say she declined his offer very quickly. It was the cutest thing ever and were bummed she didn't want to do it! I think she regretted it a little, because in the skit she would of had to do a cartwill and somersault, and she told me she would have done it better! We have to work on this fear of mascot thing with Ms. Abby!!
It was such a fun night, and of course we ate at Crown Burger before the game. The ride home wasn't to bad, it took Abby a bit to fall asleep due to her excitement......she did chant defense and offense all night and danced her little heart out because she was trying to get on the jumbotron, it didn't happen....but she sure tried!
I'll say it again.....it was a fun, perfect night!!

A little under the weather....!

March 13, 2012
This past week Stockton has not been feeling so well. First he caught a yucky, goopey eye infection that Abby passed on. I tell you what Abby never gets sick but when she does it isn't just the common cold or something more normal.....always weird stuff! So with Stockton's immune system being down a little he decided to go ahead and catch bronchitis. Lovely huh? We don't get sick to often in our home, but it is very exhausting for a mom when it does happen! Thank goodness for antibiotics, even though he did not enjoy taking it 3 times a day for 7 days (they even flavor it).....he did get a little better each time.... but they sure do work! And thank goodness for some different eye drops that a lovely Dr. told me about, I went from having to give 16 eye drops in a day to only 4!!! Hallelujah! They were so amazing, his eyes cleared up right away! I also really appreciate the Power of the Priesthood. Last Sunday when when Stockton started to get really sick Aaron and our hometeacher gave him a blessing. I was starting to get really nervous because his fever was not going down with medication and he was getting shaky. I feel so blessed to have a worthy Priesthood holder in our home and I have a strong testimony of the Priesthood. After the blessing I just knew I needed to take him in to the Doctor. So I took him to the Portneuf Immediate Care, because my Doctor is not open on Sundays. It was there that a very kind Doctor attended to us.... I got the different eye drops, and was given a prescription for antibiotics and I was feeling calm and in more control. It is so hard to see our little ones sick!
Here are a few pictures of my little guy in "his spot" getting better! It was so cute because in our prayers we would pray that Stockton would get better, and when he would pray he would ask that he would get better. Love the faith of a little child!

March 4, 2012
I mentioned in the previous post that Chad and Amanda came up and spent the weekend with us. The reason they were visiting was so we could all go together to a viewing/funeral. My sweet, amazing sister-in-law Linsey's little brother Josh passed away from cancer. He was only 24. Watching Linsey and her family go through this really made me appreciate the Gospel and The Plan that we have. What would I do without it? What an amazing phrase: FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER. I must say that the Lloyd family are amazing people who stood UNITED. They are a testimony to me.
Despite the circumstances It was so fun having Chad and Amanda at our house. And we tried to make the best of the weekend. It was nice having them there to talk about everything with and we really wanted to show our love and support to Clay, Linsey, Ryley, Reagan, and the rest of Linsey's family.
On a lighter note I'm a proud Auntie to say that Chad and Amanda are expecting a baby girl the end of July and I am so excited for them!! Amanda, Abby, and myself did some shopping for this baby girl and it was so much fun!! She is going to be the cutest little girl around! We may have gotten a little carried away......haha!! We also stayed up late watching ball games and eating junk food and did lots of talking! I love having Amanda around because she does all kinds of things for me like arrange flowers, tie bows, and on Sunday she did Abby's hair (see below)! They also came to sacrament meeting with us and I love it when I have help for sacrament meeting!! When the kids and I came home from church they both asked where Chad and Amanda were, and we decided that we really missed them and the house was different without them!

Also I have more exciting Auntie news, Brad and Becky are having a baby boy in July!!! I'm a pretty lucky Aunt........... on the Moore side last year we got a nephew (Wyatt) in October. Another niece (Evey) and nephew (Tayson) in November on the exact same day!! We have lots of babies to love!

Bengal Cheer Clinic

March 3, 2012
Abby participated in the ISU cheer clinic. On Friday night she went up to the Holt and learned her little routine and had some fun with the cheerleaders. It is so great that her teacher she has for her cheerleading class in also the the cheerleading coach for ISU. We love Misty and she does such a great job. Then on Saturday she performed at halftime of the girl's basketball game. Side note...... ISU girls basketball team won the Big Sky and went on to represent in the NCAA tournament. Unfortunately they lost yesterday in their first game to Miami, but way to represent!! Abby did a great job dancing/cheering. She did act a little apprehensive because she does not like mascots very much, and Benny The Bengal was usually in her visual! Chad and Amanda were staying with us for the weekend, so it was fun having them there as well!!

This boy is NOT afraid of mascots!!

I just thinking how funny it is that Abby likes cheerleading, and I love that she loves it! I did do tap dance, lots of clogging, and a little bit of gymnastics as a kid but soon as I started watching my brothers play basketball and other sports, that is all I wanted to do. I'm pretty much opposite of a cheerleader.......... ! As a mom, I really want to expose my kids to lots of things and let them experience many things. Especially while they are young because I know that the older they get we can't do everything we have to pick and choose and not over schedule ourselves.....I think it is very important to teach your children the importance of exercising, setting goals, and developing talents whatever they may be. For that I say GO FIGHT WIN!

100 Days of School!

February 16, 2012
Abby's kindergarten class celebrated 100 days of school! Actually it is more like 50 days for kindergartners, seems that Abby's schedule is all day on Tuesday/Thursday rotating Mondays. Confusing I know, but you get use to it and I do love that she gets to go the full school day when she does go. Abby told me it was such a fun party. She got to take 100 pieces of some kind of food like fruit loops, swedish fish, etc.... So we went to Winco and let her loose at the swedish fish, peach rings, gummy bears, and worm bins. Then we came home and she counted all the candy out into group of 10's and went til she got to 100. We all had a lot of fun. (i also got me some chocolate covered cinnamon bears!!) So all the kids bring their 100 pieces of whatever and they all share with each other and come home with all kinds of junk! More importantly they were practicing counting to 100! I love kindergarten!

Trying to look on the bright side......

Here goes...... Last Wednesday night the kids were in bed, and Aaron was gone doing his church duties leaving me alone in a quiet house (i do love these moments). I was very excited to blog about Christmas because we had such a great Christmas and I had great pictures....... (breathing....) I jumped on the computer and went into my photos and I started to get a sick stomach, panic was coming, and tears welling up. Yep, pictures from September to February were gone! (more breathing, a little deeper and slower now) I just stared at the computer and then started to search frantically. When Aaron came home later than night I didn't even tell him right away because I was in such disbelief. If you think I'm being dramatic, I'm sorry but pictures if your kids to a mom are EVERYTHING! Anyways, I don't want to drag this on to much. So to look on the bright side and to move on.... I do have all my pics up to Christmas Eve on my blog. We have all of Christmas on our video camera (so our kids will know we did have a Christmas 2011) and I have pictures on my lovely Android smartphone over the course of the last few months. Also this past week I've been thinking about these lost photos and the importance of histories and my posterity etc...... So, I'm going to attempt to make this blog like my journal a place to put my thoughts, my feelings, and just whatever I want no matter what kind of mood I am in! I do have lots of thoughts and feelings that I need to get out.... I use to be a great journal keeper, but the older I get the worse I get! And typing is easier then writing, for me anyway. My punctuation, spelling, and grammar won't always be the greatest....but who cares! So here is to.......being better! And here a few photos I scrounged up to show that we have been alive and having fun the past few months!
A Christmas tree photo!

Abby got this very REAL (straight from Disney) Rapunzel dress for Christmas from Grandma Moore and Stockton wanted to try it on. He wanted it off faster than he got it on (phew!) and asked for a Flynn outfit!

Just another hat......

He asked for a newspaper, so I got him one! .... then snapped a picture!

Snug as a bug in a rug....of course in HIS spot!

Another hat......

Ready for school! That is what he told me!

Crazy hair, baby Sam, and his play gun.....of course you know it is a play gun....play gun just sounds better!

Aaron and I went to a Jazz vs Laker game! It was AWESOME and INTENSE!!! The Jazz won, and we couldn't have asked for a better game. I was hoarse the next day from all the screaming and yelling! In fact we are headed to another Jazz game tomorrow night (pictures to come, unless i loose them....) with the whole family. Abby LOVES the Jazz, and because she is going to a game she told me that her dreams are coming true now! Abby knows most of the players on the Jazz team by number or face, she knows the coach.....her favorite players are Big Al Jefferson and Gordy Hayward. Watching pregame is a favorite of hers, and we often find her yelling at the players, coach, and refs! I think Aaron and I are so excited to take her and of course Stockton will enjoy it. We have a lot to show him considering his namesake is John Stockton! It is so fun to watch our kids enjoy and love the same things that Aaron and I love! Thank you mom and dad for having season tickets and the hookups!!!
My great friend Cathi Webb was at the game that night as well, and we got matching shirts! I love that lady! She was the best neighbor, Young Women leader, and friend I could ever ask for!
Big Al in the middle. Took the picture for Abby!

Best Friends! When I look at Abby and Stockton and watch them.... of course they disagree and fight.....but they really do look out for each other and have the greatest relationship. Abby is the best big sister a mom could ask for, (and will be my babysitter someday!!) she understands example and responsibility, whether or not she always portrays is a little different, but Stockton really looks to her for guidance. I hope they have a strong bond for life!

Eating popcorn, a family favorite, in the man cave while watching sports, another family favorite! Makes me happy!
WARNING! VERY CUTE PICTURES OF ABBY:
My mom made this hat, isn't she amazing!!! Stockton has a red one!

School picture day!! (above)

Valentines Day 2012
I lost my valentines day pictures, but I did have a few on my phone.
It was such a great day!
Dinner was the best....home with the kids....I made ribs, potatoes, asparagus, and cupcakes! PERFECT! When Abby is older we will have a babysitter and we will go out, but for now I'll enjoy the moments with the kiddos!
CUPCAKES....A FAVORITE OF THIS CUTE GIRL AND ME!!!!

We also made the yummiest sugar cookies ever!!! The kids loved taking a plate of them to their "Pocatello Grandma," also known as MaryAnn Price! I will have to write more about her later.....she is amazing to us!

I went it and helped out at Abby's Valentine Day school party. It was so fun! I always love going in and helping out in Abby's kindergarten class. Abby loves school, and is in her element when she is there. Her teacher, Mrs. Jones, is amazing, who I have such respect for. It just amazes me to listen to Abby read......what happened to my little girl, she is reading now?? Tonight she got out of the shower, put lotion on, got dressed, and combed out her hair...and I said her, "do you even need me anymore!" She replied, "mom, you are still bigger than me, but do you think I can learn to drive now??" The older she gets the more pressure I feel as a parent to teach her everything, how to choose good friends, help her establish a strong testimony, firm foundation, and all of that! The world is scary, and thinking about my little girl being in it scares me, makes me choke back tears! So i will continue to pray and have faith and strengthen my own testimony..... !

( I also better pray that I can keep up with this "journal blog" !!!) And I'm going to continue to look on the bright side...!
