Birthday Celebration #1 AND A Recital

May 30, 2012
My parents were down visiting and before they left we celebrated Stockton's birthday a few days early and they came to Abby's Dance/Cheerleading Recital.

Opening G&G Allen's birthday present!

Stockton loves ties! He just loves being like his dad!

Abby was excited!

The cute tie pin to go with!

He was also spoiled with legos! Which he loves!

Now to the recital!
A few pictures before:

front row, second from the right.... we could hear her!!!

Abby cheered great!! She knew her dance and cheered loud!
After Abby was all done dancing Stockton and I along with my parent's walked out to go get her. My parent's were headed home and wanted to say bye to Abby. So we did the goodbyes then Stockton, Abby, and myself headed back to our seats. Abby was excited and was walking ahead of us and all of the sudden I couldn't see her and I was thinking...wow, she is fast. So we get to our seats and Aaron said that Abby wasn't there! I panicked and headed back out to the foyer to look for her. I couldn't see her. Then from the other door of the auditorium out walked a friend of mine from the ward and Abby! I was relieved! Abby must have gotten confused and walked in the wrong door.....that was the door we went in for rehearsal the night before. Anyways, I didn't want to get mad and ruin her evening, so I just took her aside and talked to her and I could tell she was scared and upset and she was not reacting well and very unhappy with me! When Abby makes a wrong choice or feel bad about something she deflects those feelings to somebody else....like me! Well when all this was going on she noticed that a little girl had received flowers from her family....well that made Abby even more upset (girl drama) and was asking me why I didn't get her flowers..!! Normally she could care less! So I was feeling like a horrible mom and thankfully I have lovely family who bailed me out!! See pictures below!!! Also it was Grandma Cindy Moore's birthday that day, so the kids had planned a little surprise party for her afterwards!
Grandma & Gpa Great Armstrong were in town so they came too! And they delivered flowers to the much happier cheerleader!! (drama....!)

with the birthday Grandma! The kids were so proud of their OREO cake for her! Abby made some cute decorations I didn't get pictures of and Stockton popped all the balloons before the party even started!

Uncle Matt, Aunt Jen, and Evey came to the recital as well and then Evey delivered flowers as well!

Stockton was still entertained with the legos!
These pictures are from the next morning... Stockton got right up and dressed himself. The shirt he had gotten the night before from GG Armstrong! And he loves his tie!
