Like I said we accepted an offer on our house the day before thanksgiving. The buyers were very eager to close and move in before the first of the year! They gave us our legal 30 days and wanted to close December 27 and us be out by 5:00 p.m. So we needed to find a place to live! We have been watching a foreclosure for the past year or so and did some investigation on it and was told the bank was doing some work on it and they were going to put it on the market for sale in December.....we were eager to just get inside it and see it! Well day after day it never came on! So then we explored the option of building! Our realtor found us a great lot and drew us up some great house plans and we were figuring it all out affordability wise! Ken our realtor has built lots of houses in town, sub contracting most of the work out. We like the guy and trust him and consider him a friend. But we knew this wasn't the right time to build. Although building is definitely something we want to do, right then and there and making a quick decision wasn't what we wanted. We didn't want to make any decisions that were to permanent. Soon as we know what we are doing and where we'll be with State Farm and Aaron's job then we can talk buying or building a house! So then it was the back and forth decision of renting or living in my inlaws basement out in inkom. I searched for places to rent and called on stuff....nothing was working out. Everything I thought was either overpriced, dumpy, wanted a year lease, application fee, or just didn't feel right. So on December 26 we moved out with a lot of our stuff going to a storage unit and what we needed went to inkom. We were very grateful to Aaron's parents for letting us come and having a whole big basement to ourself! A week after being there I was kind of having a rough time, nothing to do with Aaron's parents because I get along great with them. It was hard being in Inkom and not being able to get out much, away from friends, and other reasons, but mostly just hard not having my own place...being a stay at home mom, that is very important to me. So I said a prayer and grabbed the newspaper and there was an ad for a duplex for rent that jumped out at me. I called on it. Aaron went to look at it as he was in town for work, then that night I went in to look at it and the next day we signed the agreement! This happened on Thursday January 2nd! We hadn't come across anything like this! Nice people own the place that come to find out Aaron knows them. They let us sign a 6 month lease! Then month to month after that! It was a good deal and has a huge storage room in the basement so we don't need a storage unit! It is walking distance of the school Abby goes to. Why couldn't we have found this a week ago???? Something finally felt right for our temporary home!!! Oh well let's move again!! So on Saturday, the 4th we moved yet again and got all our stuff to our new place!! Thank goodness for great friends, family, and new neighbor who helped!!! Wow! It was all so exhausting and we are still exhausted and trying to get as settled as we can. But I'm truly grateful for a loving Heavey Father who hears and answers my prayers. I am very blessed and so thankful for the Gospel in my life. It is everything to me. Here are a few pics from our last couple weeks......
