The Monday before Easter for family home evening we talked about the true meaning of Easter and the commercialization of it. We read the story Easter Walk, which we do every year. It's a great story! Then on Thursday evening we went to our old stake center and attended the annual Walk With Christ event. This is an amazing thing the Alameda stake puts on where they transform the church with the most amazing props and have actors and take you on a journey through Christ's life from birth to death to his resurrection. It is so powerful and I love to watch the kids as we do this. Really sets the mood and tone for the real meaning of Easter. With all of the "commercial" part of Easter out of the way.....we were able to really enjoy our Easter Sunday and think about Christ and the kids were calm as the hype was over. Before church I got some pictures of our Easter Sunday best!
I'm so grateful for my Savior. Because of him I get to be with my little, perfect family forever. Life doesn't get any better than that!
