The Interview!

On late Sunday afternoon March 30th, Aaron and I headed to Bozeman Montana for the biggest interview of his, of our life. The one we've been waiting for, for a long time. The interview to be hired as a State Farm Agent.....in Pocatello.....for the agency he has been working at for the last 9 years. His boss, Tony, finally decided to call it quits and retire. This is his last year. The new agent, hopefully Aaron will open the doors with their name on the sign January 2015.
(Big thanks to my parents for coming up and holding down the fort while we were gone)
Got a picture at the border!

I was super excited to have a Target right next to our hotel! Wahoo! While Aaron endured his interview that morning I did some shopping! Although I was having fun, I kept looking at my phone to see if Aaron was done yet and I kept praying! But I did get some birthday and Easter shopping done!

So the interview was done. Aaron felt good. We grabbed a bite to eat and hit the road back to Pocatello.
We went through Yellowstone.

Enjoyed some sour patch kids! I look exhausted! Yikes!

The roads weren't bad but this poor semi got a little to close to the edge....

I was so grateful I was able to make this quick trip with Aaron. And I was even more grateful when Wednesday night of that same week came around....and Aaron called me and gave us the best news! HE GOT THE JOB!!!! He was greeted when he came home with hugs, screams, and Abby quickly decorated the front door! It didn't really seem real at first and took some time to set in. We celebrated and went out for ice cream. What a relief!
So here is the deal: because Aaron passed his test in California he only has half of his training left. He will continue to work where he is working. Come September he will stop working for Tony and become an employee of State Farm and finish the year out with training. Then he will open the doors as Aaron the State Farm Agent in January 2015! He has a year to prove himself and if State Farm likes him he signs his contract in January 2016! State Farm definitely doesn't make it easy and the road is long, stressful, and expensive but worth it (I'm telling myself) as they really know how to take care of their agents and is the best company! Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there! I'm so proud of Aaron!! Now to find a permanent place to live!!!!!!
