Easter 2010

Now to Easter..........
Abby in her Easter dress. I kind of missed Stockton, and feel lucky to have this picture of Abby. Our Sunday mornings are very chaotic.....we have one goal in mind:
IN THE CAR BY 8:50 = CHURCH ON TIME!

On Saturday, the day before Easter we woke up to snow. Abby was very concerned about the branch that fell off the tree. It was a bummer deal with the snow, but we just altered the plans a little had still had some fun.

Colored Easter eggs.....the older she gets the better it is!!

Abby and Stockton egg.

Had an Easter egg hunt in the basement.

Sunday morning we enjoyed Easter baskets.

I must say I loved having Easter over General Conference weekend. Nothing like our dear Prophet and amazing leaders in Salt Lake to teach us and remind us of our Savior and his atoning sacrifice. Also I wish we had General Conference like every other month. It is a nice break!!!!
We went over and over with Abby about the real meaning of Easter. I must say I'm so grateful for amazing primary teachers who teach our little ones and help reinforce what we teach. Abby really does get it....Jesus died for us because he loves us.
Quick story (well 2 of them) :
The other day Abby was playing with Stockton's John Stockton bobble head. (are you with me.....a John Stockton bobble head) I said to Abby be careful and don't break John. She replied back to me "The Baptist?" Very funny....
Yesterday morning I had The View on, ya know the show on ABC.....well Abby was doing her thing while I was watching and she said to me, "do these girls ever take turns talking?" haha!
Nothing to do with Easter but had to post them.
Hope ya'll had a great Happy Easter!

Hockey Game

March 26-27
Through work Aaron scored us a quick getaway to Boise for a hockey game. It was my first time ever watching a hockey game in person. We watched the Idaho Steelheads play somebody, the Steelheads actually lost and it was a pretty dull game. Later we learned why it was so boring. The Steelheads are really good and already had a spot in the playoffs so they were just taking it easy and trying to prevent injury. Despite the game being a little slow and there was no fighting, which is the coolest part of a hockey game....so they say...it was still lots of fun. We sat in a box suite and ate some food and had a good time. The greatest thing about it was the game, hotel, and everything was all paid for! It was a quick trip but lots of fun. It was my first time leaving Stockton for the night, he did real good......probably better for my mom than for me!! Abby keeps asking me when we are going to leave again so she can go have a sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa!

Before the game we had a little bit of time so we walked around downtown and found the Bronco shop! I wanted everything in there!
Sorry for the lame pictures ....... when the kids aren't around I just don't think about taking pictures as much...

March Madness!

In our family we love March.....our should I say we love March Madness!! For those of you that aren't educated in this area March Madness is the NCAA basketball tournament.
In the opening round of the tournament there is basketball on all day Thursday and Friday. In order for me to have that on the TV so I can be watching it, I had to make a little compromise with my Abby. This would be the compromise I made:

I think this is going to be my last post of the day......

St. Patricks Day

Next on the camera is St. Patricks Day!
We had some fun on that day.
Abby and Stockton wearing green!

Abby and Dad wearing green!
And don't worry, Aaron is going to take that poopy diaper in the sack (up in the corner) to the garbadge can on his way out the door! haha

Drinking green milk with green scrambled eggs.

Hope everyone had a happy St. Patricks Day!

Abby's snack & story for preschool

March 8, 2010
For Abby's preschool they take turn bringing the snack and story. My mom took knox blocks/jello jigglers -whatever you like to call them- to her sunbeam class and gave some extras to Abby. So she was really into them and wanted to take them for the snack when it was her turn. On her day they were learning the letter W, so we took W jello jigglers. Abby was very excited and they were a hit!!

Backyard fun...and back to bloggin'....

So.....our computer got a virus, and after a month or two we decided to get it fixed. Aaron and I really don't mind to much living without the Internet, but it is nice to have it back. (Thanks to our very smart, wonderful friends!! aka The Woodwards!) Wow, I'm so far behind in blogging and haven't looked at anyone's blog forever! I have a lot of catching up to do!

Over the last 3 months we purchased a swing set and shed for the backyard. It is lots of fun having a yard. Of course it is always a work in progress......Aaron and I will fight over who gets to mow the lawn. We still have a fence to build, plants and flowers to purchase and plant, and many more things. But here are a few pictures of us enjoying our backyard!

My kids - especially Abby - would swing and play outside forever! Stockton especially loves to swing when his sister is right next to him!

For dinner one night I decided to grill hot dogs...ya know summer grillin' fever! Well in Idaho the weather can change just like that. And before ya know it, Aaron is out in the snow grillin' our hot dogs. Quite funny! All for a dumb hot dog! And I love the princess umbrella!

CUTE SMILEY KIDS!

Aaron's way cool shed! Just a little side note, we had to put together the swingset and shed....the swing set was a lot harder! I read the directions while Aaron and my dad put it all together!

Loving the glider! She scares us to death on this!!

Stockton- 9 months

Stockton is now 9 months old. We haven't been to the Doctor yet so we have no stats. But I do
want to list a few things about our little guy Stockton:
*He said dadada first but now says mamama, and we are working on Abby
*He has 4 teeth total, 2 bottom and 2 top
*Started crawling a few days before he turned 9 months and he is everywhere!
*Already trying to stand up ..... yikes!
*Can be very whiney and loves his mommy! (almost to much if that is possible)
*Loves Abby, wants to be with her and by her always...of course if mom is close by
*He claps, dances, waves (sometimes), talks on the phone
*Does not take/have a binky, but loves his blanky!
*Is always wearing a bib due to his constant drooling and reflux that he has not out grown yet. Hopefully someday soon he will not have acid reflux anymore and we can have a bib bonfire.
*Loves to bath which he does every night, because well with the spitting up it just has to happen.
*He sort of likes to eat......meaning solid foods.....he has a weird stomache, poor kid
*Takes 2 naps a day and sleeps thru the night
*Has the cutest personality......acts a little shy
*Loves to be outside
*Has lots of nicknames: Mr. S, Little Man, Buddy Boy, Reflux, Whiney, Wimpy, Stock, Stockers, John, Big Eyes, and I'm sure I missed some.....
*Stockton has been a completely different baby than Abby was, so it has been like having my first all over again.
*Of course he is a pain sometimes, but brings us more joy than ever.
We can't wait to get him all the "boy" and "manly" things as he grows older!!!
We Love Our Stockton!!
