Yesterday we got back from our family reunion which turned into a little vacation! We had such a great time! Here is a play by play itinerary::
Friday - Left Idaho and headed to Utah for the Garner Family reunion. We usually have it over the 4th of July and at my Grandma Garner's house, but this year we decided to do something different. No matter what, it is always fun!!! So this year we went up Ogden Canyon to a town called Liberty and stayed in my Uncle Mike's cabin/house. There was about 32 of us - between one tent and the house we all found a place to lay our head at night! On this day we had a nice BBQ dinner, played games outside, and just talked and talked! I wish I would have taken a picture of the way cool homemade ping pong paddles the boys made!
Saturday- Early Saturday morning 7 of the guys and Lea went and played golf. I heard that Aaron's team did not win. Better luck next year!! Later on we went to Snow Basin and rode the tram up to the top where we enjoyed a nice lunch. Then some went boating and us with the younger children head back to the house for naps!! While they were all boating they witnessed a car rolling down the cement which hit a park bench where there was a guy reading Harry Potter sitting there.....he went flying into the water and the car also ended up being in the water as well. I guess it was on the news that night. Let me know if you want to know the story. (Holly has a picture of the park bench!) So that was pretty exciting.........Oh yeah!! And that night Aaron, Jeni, Chad, Holli, and myself had some very interesting conversations!!! haha (and don't ask me about that if you want to know more!!)
Sunday - Nothing to exciting, we got up and helped clean up the house. Then we headed down the mountain and went to Brad and Becky's for lunch. We had our church clothes but didn't quite make it! We stayed the next 2 nights at Grandma and Grandpa Armstrong's! It was so fun to see them, and Grandpa made us 2 amazing breakfasts and for dinner one night we had the best salmon I've ever had!!!
Monday - Aaron, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Marla, Monika, Risa, Lucy, Lea and myself headed to Lagoon. What a HOT HOT fun day we had there. Let me just say that new ride "Wicked" was pretty sweet! And it was fun to go to the place where Aaron and I first met!! (ask sometime if you want to hear the whole story!!) Also my little cousin Lucy is such a daredevil!! Thankfully, Becky watched Abby for us that day!! Thanks Aunt Becky!!!! Also, we didn't get any pictures of us at Lagoon! They would have been to wild and crazy anyway!!
Tuesday - We all went to Hogle Zoo. Once again a very HOT HOT fun day! We also went to a bird show, it was great! That was my first time ever at the Hogle Zoo, and I really enjoyed it. It was so fun to watch Abby. Can't wait to go back!
This marks the end of our mini vacation!!
